IGSTC–iPEARL Global Colloquium Series: Frontiers in Infection Biology
The IGSTC–iPEARL Global Colloquium Series on “Frontiers in Infection Biology” commenced with its inaugural session, featuring Prof. Adriano Aguzzi (University of Zurich), a distinguished pioneer in the field of prion biology and neurodegeneration.
In his lecture, Prof. Aguzzi presented cutting-edge developments in CRISPR-based tools and advanced genomics approaches, highlighting their transformative impact on prion research. He elaborated on how these technologies are enabling deeper mechanistic insights into neurodegenerative diseases, paving the way for innovative therapeutic strategies.
The session concluded with an engaging interactive discussion, where early-career researchers actively participated in a Q&A session with the speaker.
Co-hosted by the Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC) and iPEARL, this monthly colloquium series serves as a platform to bring together leading global experts in infection biology and translational therapeutics, fostering knowledge exchange and international collaboration.
IGSTC extends its sincere appreciation to all participants for contributing to the success of the inaugural session and strengthening global scientific engagement.
Further sessions in the series are forthcoming, with opportunities for the research community to engage with eminent international experts.
